Meet Yarrow! First off a HUGE thank you to my friends Kat & Jerry Drovdahl for trusting this sweet AMAZING girl with me. I brought her home this Spring and I have fallen in love with this sweet gentle giant. You might recognize this girl in some of the pedigrees in my bucks and doe kids. This girl is the granddam to my very own Fir Meadow Alp Basil and has several great granddaughters in my herd.
I can't say ENOUGH nice things about this doe. She is deeeeep, wide, dairy, great feet, easy to handle, wonderful udder texture, maintains weight on air and even appraised 91 EEEE this year at 7yrs old! This girl is the type of LaMancha I dream about and she has the amazing temperament to boot. She is sweet, easy going, never fights with anyone in the herd and is just a love. She has warmed up to me a lot and loves getting her back scritches and face snuggles after milking. It is hilarious to see just how much her one great granddaughter is like her, Faline has almost the EXACT same temperament and it cracks me up. No wonder those two get along so well and come out to milk together.
Honestly I love, love LOVE this girl and her sweet, quiet, easy going temperament. Something about this girl has just clicked in my heart, she is my baby girl. I know Kat misses her something fierce and I can see why, I am honored and blessed to call her my own now. She as many before her gets to live out the rest of her days here, hopefully that will be MANY more years.
